We don’t mess around with eye problems and consider a swollen eye an emergency. Scratched corneas and foreign bodies in the eye are very painful and need to be properly diagnosed and treated quickly.

There are also a host of other diseases that can cause a swollen, closed or ocular discharge. These need to be addressed quickly to avoid permanent damage.

Please call as soon as you notice a problem, the eye is not something to try to treat yourself. The wrong treatment can cause serious pain, and possible blindness.
