Veterinary Externships

Veterinary externships at Cutting Edge Equine are designed to expose students to all types of situations facing ambulatory equine veterinarians in today’s world. We will encourage students to gain knowledge and skills that will help them acquire sound judgment and the confidence needed to become competent Veterinarians.

Veterinary Technician Externships

Technician externships at Cutting Edge Equine are to teach students skills and techniques that will allow them to assist doctors in all situations. We will teach you to think ahead and be prepared for whatever the doctor may need. Students will be encouraged to assist with radiology, ultrasound exams, lameness examinations, blood sample handling, dental care and routine preventative care.

Our technicians externships require that you be enrolled in an accredited program and can provide transportation to our office. Our externships are up to two weeks long and generally run from March to October, but other arrangements can be made to accommodate your schedule.
