Deworming

Our deworming program is designed to effectively remove parasites from your horse and to reduce the transmission of parasite eggs. Dewormers are strategically rotated to limit the chance that the parasites will become resistant to the drugs.

Various deworming programs exist and an individually tailored program should be designed specifically to your horse’s needs.

Routine fecal exams are used to monitor the efficacy of the deworming program and will help us customize a horse’s deworming program to their needs depending on the amount parasites that are being shed.
