Preventative Care

We provide and strongly recommend bi-annual and quarterly vaccinations for your horse. In the spring months we vaccinate for EWT/WN (Eastern and Western Encephalitis, Tetanus and West Nile). These diseases are spread by mosquito bites.

We vaccinate spring and fall for Influenza, and are recommending quarterly vaccinations for Rhinoneumonitis (EHV). These upper respiratory infections can be spread through none to nose contact and are quite contagious in barns.

In the fall, we vaccinate for Strangles, which is a strep infection causing enlargement in the lymph nodes, and Rabies.
